For our winter issue, Twist Collective asked our contributors where they look for colour while the northern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun. Click on their images below for their answers, and for links to their individual websites.

I love the colors of winter, especially the bright whites and amazing blues of ice. Winter is full of color when you start looking for it. The snow is a sparkling collection of white, the sky reveals shades of pale blue and pink in the cold mornings, and the bright colors of reds and yellows and greens of the Aurora Borealis light up the night sky in the darkest of winter nights. And even the dullest gray of the winter afternoons can reveal shades of silver, which I find to be a true inspiration for colorwork.
