For our winter issue, Twist Collective asked our contributors where they look for colour while the northern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun. Click on their images below for their answers, and for links to their individual websites.

I don't have to go looking for colours on winter days. My daughters bring plenty to our home: red noses, frozen fingers, glossy chestnuts, dark red wine leaves, anxious hedgehogs, crafted lanterns, green bobble hats, lots of muddy foot prints, and wild birds overwinter on our balcony because we leave them seeds and apples.
