For our winter issue, Twist Collective asked our contributors where they look for colour while the northern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun. Click on their images below for their answers, and for links to their individual websites.

Winter has been quite a different experience for me this past year here in the Central Valley of California. I actually found it easier to find colour than in summer when much of the surrounding countryside is a burnt brown. In the winter, skies are often clearer allowing visibility of the beautiful snowcapped mountains of the Sierra Nevadas and in the lower elevations the grass is greener!
