The body of this hooded cardigan is worked in one piece from the bottom to the armholes, with waist shaping, cable panels at either side of the button bands, and a cable medallion at the lower back. The back and front are knit separately and the shoulders are joined with a 3-needle bind-off. The sleeves are knit separately and sewn in place. The hood is worked from held stitches along the front and back neck and grafted together at the top.
