Twist Style Friday: Haussmann

Every Friday we feature one of the garments from the magazine in a post about styling. We suggest different ways to wear the garment in question using mock-ups from Polyvore. We encourage readers to tell us what they think about these outfits via our Facebook page or Twitter, and if folks want to make their own outfits, please tweet them at us with the hashtag #twiststyle. You can find all of the Style Friday posts here.

Happy Friday everyone! I'm having a banner week, and I hope you are too! The weather has returned to a reasonable level so I'm back in my own home, and having lovely visitors! Tuesday night two of my favorite humans came over and made watermelon gazpacho and pizza with zucchini and kale on it. I bought neon rainbow yarn, and am heading to a music festival this weekend (I'm bringing a sock project).

Now that the temperature has returned to a level that doesn't make me feel like the world is a bathtub, I can wear pretty things again. This is a very pretty thing.

I love the wrap-front, the low neckline, the pretty trim, the split sleeve. It's a romantic and girly top, without being fussy or twee.

Have a closer look, will you?

It seemed like common sense to pair this with pretty skirts, but even within that range, you can get looks that have a bit of a tougher edge. Check these out, especially the outfit on the left (what I wish I was wearing right now).

You can also rock this top with pants. Here are a few riffs on that, which may or may not be influenced by a blog I was looking at yesterday...

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Someone make a Haussmann with stripes, okay?? Or at least a striped ribbon?

How will you wear Haussmann?
