Every Friday we feature one of the garments from the magazine in a post about styling. We suggest different ways to wear the garment in question using mock-ups from Polyvore. We encourage readers to tell us what they think about these outfits via our Facebook page or Twitter, and if folks want to make their own outfits, please tweet them at us with the hashtag #twiststyle. You can find all of the Style Friday posts here.
Happy Friday folks!
I'm on a pretty serious knitting binge these days. Something about the weather, I guess. Communing with wool just seems like the best possible use of the majority of my time. This week's sweater is for when you feel like covering yourself with a dense, squishy layer of wool, but you still want to look elegant. Hey there Caulkins. Hi.
I love the way the large cables alternate their direction on the front and back panels. I also love the texture of the sleeves.
I love how the ribbing flows organically into the cables at the hem and the collar, too. This sweater is really a thing of beauty. Even with allover texture and cables on the front and back, this could be a speedy knit with this squishy yarn and 6mm needles.
A sweater with this much personality doesn't need a lot of look to be part of a stunning outfit, but you know me. I don't believe in the idea of too much. The one on the left I've titled "meowlennial" but I don't have enough brain juice to pun the other two because winter.
How will you wear Caulkins?
