Finished brim circumference: Adult one size fits most. 18” / 45.5 cm relaxed. Diameter across wheel: 9½” / 24 cm after blocking.

 

Yarn: elann.com Peruvian Baby Cashmere (109 yds / 100 m per 7/8 oz / 25 g skein; 60% Baby Alpaca, 30% Merino Wool, 10% Cashmere): Version 1—1 ball each of: 0100 Parchment (MC) 2699 Starlight Blue (CC1) 1417 Peacock (CC2)

Version 2—1 ball each of: 2699 Starlight Blue (MC) 1575 Mulled Grape (CC1) 1321 Tapestry Blue (CC2) 1742 Dusky Lavender (CC3)

 

Needles & Notions: Size 2 US / 2.75 mm circular needles, 16” / 40 cm long. Size 3 US / 3.25 mm circular needles, 16” / 40 cm long. Size 3 US / 3.25 mm set of 5 double- pointed needles. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge. Stitch markers, tapestry needle, 9 ½” / 24 cm diameter plate or foam core disk for blocking.

 

Gauge: 32 sts and 40 rounds = 4” / 10 cm over Border pattern in St st using larger needles. To save time and to ensure accurate sizing, check gauge.

 

Construction Notes: Stranded colorwork pattern is charted only. Option to work in 3 colors or 4 colors. Worked from brim to crown.
