| | Hey knitter.
You're curious? So are we! That's why we started Twist Collective: to play with the possibilities for independent designers in an Internet kind of world. So we're really tickled that you've signed up for the inside scoop and the answer to "What is this?"
First and foremost, Twist Collective is an on-line magazine about knitting and the sister arts, free for the viewing to one and all. We have articles, knitwear stories, how-to's, and fun stuff, published six times a year. Patterns for things in the magazine are for sale as downloadable pdfs, but we will try to have a free pattern in every issue for you too. Because Twist Collective was founded to champion quality independent design in a professional magazine format, we pass along most of the price to the designer, and they keep all rights to their own work forever.
Here's what we're planning for August 1st:
Sweaters and cosy things for a woodland walk by Anne Hanson, Ysolda Teague, Veronik Avery, Adrian Bizilia, Marnie MacLean, Kate Gilbert, and Fiona Ellis.
Saturday lunch or Tuesday meeting: sweaters and lace with that something extra from Pam Allen, Cookie A, Alison Green Will, Miriam Felton, Connie Chang Chinchio, and Ysolda Teague.
A collection of shoe-rocking socks from Cookie A., Stephanie van der Linden, Mona Schmidt, Cat Bordhi, Jane Brocket, and Yarnissima.
Big and little surprises from knitters you know, and new friends too.
Lissajous Kneesocks from Cookie A We can't wait to share, but we're still working hard to be ready for you 38 days from now. So stay tuned for more developments, sneak peaks, free stuff, and other things a curious knitter should know. And don't forget that you can see new keyhole views of the knits-to-come on the website everyday! Kate, Irene, Julia & Mary | | | | |
