| It's hard to believe it has been a month since we launched. In spite of the best of plans and expert advice, we outgrew our shoes within 48 hours and had to move over to even bigger ones. And yet the world continued to spin on its axis. Amazing? Hardly. Thanks to our skillful technical director Mary, we made the journey with barely a blip.
The blog is also humming along, with a few entries under our belts. So far, we're just bringing readers up to speed on the mechanics of the site, enlightening the people who went bounding straight to the shop to look at the thumbnails before complaining there were no pretty photos to look at (silly budgies), and pointing out a few things readers may have missed. It won't be long before there will be some reader-generated shenanigans going on over there, and some visits by contributors, so plug in that rss feed, baby, and stay on top of it all.
Twist Collective now has a group on Flickr "Friends of Twist Collective" where you can see additional photos of the projects from the current issue, and where you can post photos of your own progress if you like. And we also have a group on Ravelry where you can get support for your knitting, and look at other people's socks, of course.

We're looking forward to books coming out in the next month from several of our contributors. Jane Brocket, Franklin Habit, and Kay Gardiner & Ann Shayne of Mason Dixon Knitting all have releases during the month of September.

Kate Gilbert will be at Green Mountain Spinnery for their upcoming Knitter's Weekend, September 28th. Be sure and check their website for details.

Remember that if you have any items of interest for Twist Collective, be sure to send them along to us. We'd love to hear from you.

Due to popular demand, we've added three larger sizes to Pam Allen's wonderful sweater Come Together. All copies of the pattern already sold have received updates by email, and the updated pdf is already available for sale in the shop.
In stitches,
Julia, Irene, Mary, and Kate
