Needles & Notions:
Size 10 ¾ US / 7 mm circular needle, 40" / 100 cm long
Size 11 US / 8 mm circular needle 32" / 80 cm long
Size 11 US / 8 mm circular needle 16" /
40 cm long or preferred needles for working sleeves in the round
Spare needle size 10 ¾ US / 7 mm or smaller for when joining pockets to body

Tapestry needle, ten locking stitch markers, 20 buttons 5/8" / 16 mm diameter, two stitch holders, waste yarn

Gauge: 12 sts and 28 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Slipped Rib using US 11 / 8 mm needles
12 sts and 28 rows / 14 ridges = 4" / 10 cm in garter stitch (unstretched) using
US 10 ¾ / 7 mm needles

Construction Notes: The jacket begins at the front edge of the hood. Stitches for the body are picked up around the neck edge, and the yoke is worked down in one piece to the armholes, then split for the body and sleeves. Pockets are knit together with the body just above the lower edging.  Front bands are worked from stitches picked up around the edges. Sleeves feature extended cuffs with non-functional buttons.
